Bridging the gap between corporate strategy and spiritual stillness, I help others write their own stories of transformation. From the yoga mat to the writer’s desk—and always with a dog at my feet—I believe in a life lived with purpose, presence, and a lot of heart.

“Not everything that transforms us is loud. Some shifts happen quietly—through a story that lingers, a breath that grounds, or a question that refuses to leave.”
I’m Nitya Neelakantan—an author, yoga teacher, and a life coach in the making. With over 22 years in Learning & Development and 8+ years of teaching yoga, I’ve spent my life creating spaces where people can pause, reflect, and grow.
My journey hasn’t been linear. It has moved between structure and stillness, between corporate classrooms and inner exploration. Writing became my way of asking deeper questions. Yoga became my way of coming back to myself. And coaching is where I now bring it all together.
Through stories, movement, and meaningful conversations, I help people slow down, look inward, and move forward with intention.
The Writer
I write stories that explore what lies beneath the surface.
My books—Rudrabaan, Navapashanam, and Mahagauri—are rooted in mythology, mystery, and human emotion. I’m drawn to the spaces where belief meets doubt, where choices aren’t black and white, and where characters are shaped by both the seen and the unseen.
For me, writing isn’t just about telling a story. It’s about asking questions that stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page.
The Yoga Teacher
Yoga, for me, is not about performance—it’s about presence.
I don’t teach perfect poses or ideal forms. I focus on awareness, breath, and consistency. My classes are designed to meet you where you are, not where you think you should be.
Over the past 8+ years, I’ve worked with people who come to yoga for different reasons—stress, fitness, healing, or simply curiosity. What I offer is a space where you can slow down, listen to your body, and build a practice that feels sustainable and real.
The Learning & Development Professional
Before anything else, I’ve been a facilitator of learning.
With 22 years in corporate Learning & Development, I’ve designed and delivered programs that go beyond information. I focus on creating experiences—spaces where people don’t just learn, but think, question, and apply.
I don’t enjoy teaching in the traditional sense. What I value is facilitation—getting people to engage, share ideas, and discover insights for themselves. That philosophy continues to shape everything I do.
The Life Coach (In Progress)
I’m currently on the path to becoming an ICF ACC-certified coach.
Coaching, for me, is not about giving advice or having the right answers. It’s about listening deeply, asking the right questions, and holding space for someone to see things more clearly.
This is where my journey is evolving—bringing together my experience in learning, my practice of yoga, and my instinct for reflection. I work with individuals who are navigating change, seeking clarity, or simply wanting to understand themselves better.
Everything I do comes back to one intention: transformation. Where would you like to begin:
